Marble
Marble is a natural stone formed from a limestone that is softened by heat and pressure underground, then recrystallized; ingredients include calcium and dolomite. Available in many distinctive veining patterns, there is no doubt that marble can make a stunning statement in your home or workspace. As with other natural stones, there are no two marble slabs exactly alike. This stone is structurally strong but the surface is soft so marble is not recommended for kitchens or similar high-traffic areas, as it is more susceptible than granite to scratches or stains. Like other porous natural stones, a spray-on sealant should be reapplied once water begins to be absorbed rather than beading on the surface of the slab. Since each block and subsequent slab of marble is distinctive, we advise customers to visit one of our local distributors to hand-select their own slabs; this way you can be sure that your unique slabs are exactly like you imagined. It is our policy with all natural stone to have customers place a hold no more than 1-2 weeks before template; the hold should always include one additional matching slab in case additional marble is needed.
